Join us on Friday 5th December with your handmade lanterns to light up Chorleywood and start the festive season - bringing together the whole community in a creative way to share in the spirit of the season and have a fun.

Register here to join the Lantern Parade and make a voluntary donation to this years supported charities - New Hope, supporting homeless & vulnerably-housed individuals, providing accommodation and opportunities to transform lives and Chorleywood Scouts, raising funds for urgent repairs on the Scout Hut.

LANTERN MAKING SESSIONS (materials provided)

  • Sunday 23 Nov, 12-4pm @ The Russell School Hall, Brushwood Drive
  • Saturday 29 Nov, 1-5pm @ The Bridge, St Andrew's Church, Chorleywood
  • Sunday 30 Nov, 11-4pm @ Chorleywood Scout Hut, Orchard Drive

Once you register you'll recieve LANTERN MAKING INSTRUCTIONS in case you want to have a go making them at home.

When & Where: The PARADE will meet @ 4.25 pm on Friday 5th December at two locations:

  • The Russell School (playground)
  • St Andrew's Church (car park)

(You can choose to join at whichever location is nearest to you)

The two Lantern Parades will set off from both meeting points at approximately 4.45pm, meeting at the Main Stage in Lower Road where you will be able to park your lantern and enjoy all the usual Chorelywood Chrsitmas Festival entertainment in the village centre with shops open late, street food, stalls, children’s fairground rides, Santa’s Grotto and festive music from schools, local choirs and music groups.

All proceeds from the Parade and money collected at Christmas Festival Evening evening will go to a local charity.
