Register your Interest - Level 2 Certificate in Cyber Security

This course runs for 4 weeks with one, two hour online session each week, you will also need to dedicate between 2-3 hours of self study per week.

Course Duration: A two hour session online Zoom session each week for four weeks

In an increasingly digital world, cyber security is fast becoming a main concern for many organisations. Within the last 12 months from March 20 - February 21, the National Cyber Security Centre has prevented over 30,000 COVID related campaigns targeting vulnerable people. Cyber crime is on the increase with more online shopping and working from home taking place.

Online shopping fraud has gone up by 43% with vishing and 1 in 3 charities have been targeted during the pandemic.

With complex online scams and cyber crime, it’s essential that organisations and staff have an understanding of preventative measures to maintain cyber security, including techniques and security checks needed to store data securely. Cyber Security experts are needed in all sectors! By undertaking this course you will gain sector knowledge and enhance your understanding of the roles and issues relating to Cyber Security.

Become an asset to any organisation with your knowledge. This course is ideal for someone who wants to enter a cyber security career or add value to many organisations.

Course Content:

  • Introduction to cyber security
  • Understand terminology used in cyber security
  • Understand legal and ethical aspects of cyber security
  • Understand common threats to cyber security
  • Understand methods of maintaining cyber security
  • Working with others in cyber security

Course Fee and Eligibility

The course is open to government funding. If you are eligible you will be required to meet the following criteria to qualify for 100% funding:

  • Be over 19 years of age
  • Have proof of residency in the UK for at least three years and live in the Greater London area.
  • Be unemployed or on a career break or
  • Be in receipt of a benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance or Universal Credit or
  • Be employed/self-employed or
  • On furlough or unemployed but NOT on any benefits

You will also be asked to provide evidence of your highest qualification.

Please note: you will be required to provide proof of eligibility before we are able to confirm your booking. If you don't meet the eligibility criteria, you have the option to pay a discounted rate of just £250 for the course.

During this period whilst we deliver training via a virtual classroom, learners will require access to a WIFI connection and a laptop, tablet or mobile device.

For each course interactive weekly sessions will be held with a course trainer via Zoom and participants will have access to all learning resources online. We will also enable you to arrange 1-2-1 sessions with your course trainer if additional assistance is required.
