Event description

Description

In celebration of the Year of Engineering, the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is hosting "Exploring Engineering", an event aimed at Key Stage 3 students in Year 8 or 9. The students will have the opportunity to visit the ISIS experimental hall and will learn about the incredible engineering that goes on at the facility through talks, demonstrations and a series of hands-on activities and workshops. It is rare that Key Stage 3 students can enter the experimental hall, so do make the most of this opportunity!

Schools can bring a maximum of 12 students, and lunch will be provided for all participants.

As many of our events are oversubscribed, once registration of interest closes on 27 March 2018 places will be allocated to schools on a random basis. All schools will be contacted on 28 March 2018. If you have any questions, please contact visitral@stfc.ac.uk.
