What is Reiki?
'Reiki is a Non INvasive Natural system of healing using Universal Energy ‘Life Force’. It is where the therapist holds the space for you, allowing the energy to come in and help direct it to where its needed; so that you can calm and find your own energy to heal yourself.'
Developed and founded by Dr Mikao Usui from Japan. Sensei Usui believed that everyone should be attuned to Reiki to provide the people with the ability to achieve connection with the Universal Life Force energy that would help them in their self-development.
Sensei Usui's would teach everyone he met Reiki, it is recorded that he attuned >2000 people. In April 1922 he opened his first school/clinic in Harajuku Tokyo. When he set up his healing centre at first everyone was treated the same student and client alike, some came for healing and others for spiritual teachings. It was later as some became dedicated students and became Reiki Masters themselves that the teaching of Reiki spread throughout the world. Sensei Usui had a small manual which is now translated into English and published by Western Reiki Master living in Japan, Frank Arjava Petter, under the title "The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr Mikao Usui"
Reiki is different from other teachings and other hands-on healing methods, mainly because of the use of reiju or attunements and symbols that Sensei Usui uses to remind students and clients of their spiritual connection.
What does this course include
To progress to Level II you need to have been attuned to Reiki Level I, I am often asked when can I take my Reiki level II after a person has recieved their Reiki Level I; it is difficult to say because everyone is different and will be ready to progress after different time periods.
During your training you will recive 2 Reiki level II attunements on day 1 and 2, realigning your chakras and enhancing your ability for channeling Reiki. Reiki Level II works on a higher level than one; Reiki Level I is very physical and Reiki Level II is more mental. You will also learn about the first 3 symbols, how to use the first 3 symbols in your treatments on the body, and also how to use them to apply distant Reiki healing. Some times a client needs 3 consecquetive treatments which is not feasible for either you or client, or if a loved one is away from home you can send distant healing by opening a direct channel between you and them for 3 days or 2 days post treatment consequetively. You will also recieve an educational session with Jacqueline and your colleagues on day 2 of the course.
Throughout the day there will be healthy drinks and snacks availble, at lunch you can bring your own or food to share. Please let Jacqueline know if you have any special dietry requirements. We will try to meet them with having vegan and gluten free options but if you have different please bring with you what you need.
