To train as a Reiki Master/Teacher you will need to have taken First and Second Degree. We recommend that you have at least six months between your Second Degree and Master/Teacher training. If you are joining us from a different lineage that is fine, we will provide you with our First and Second Degree course materials in advance of your training.
Reiki Master/Teacher training will further deepen your Reiki and your experience of self-healing. You will learn further Reiki symbols, and learn Kotodama; Shinto mantras that were taught by the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui. This will bring powerful physical and emotional balance and bring a deeper sense of connection.
The training also covers the use of further intuitive healing together with visualisation that will take your confidence in your healing practice to a higher level
Also, as you are becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher, then you will learn how to carry out Western-style Reiki attunements, and you will also learn how to carry out Reiju empowerments, which are beautiful, flowing initiations that come from Japanese Reiki and which were used by Mikao Usui’s original students.
This Reiki Master/Teacher Training class takes place over two days, from 10am to 5pm. The space is held by Joanne Britton, Reiki Master/Teacher with twenty three years of practice in Reiki and 16 years teaching experience. In this supportive circle you will deepen your connection to Reiki. The training days are deeply experiential, being a combination of discussion, sharing, ceremony and healing ritual including further attunements/Reiju empowerments and a deep understanding of the Reiki symbols and the Master symbols. You will also experience and learn Kotodama, mantras and vocal toning to elevate your practice. We work in a supportive circle, journeying through the process with meditation, ceremony and sound work.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing, bring warm cosy socks, a journal and pen. We provide teas, coffee and water and healthy snacks. You may wish to bring a packed lunch, or you can buy some lunch from one of the many cafes close by. We are based in the historic medieval market town of Waltham Abbey, close the beautiful Abbey Gardens.
We offer Reiki training from beginners at Reiki level one, through to Practitioner and Master Teacher Level.
Our Reiki training is thorough and will prepare you to work with Reiki at all levels. Each training course for the three levels of Usui Reiki are held over a weekend and full continued support is offered to you after your training weekends. All training at the Academy is fully accredited and your certificate at Reiki level two will allow you to obtain professional practice insurance so that you may begin to offer treatments to clients.
You will be learning Traditional Usui Reiki, which has a purity and simplicity typical of the original Japanese practice.
Reiki is the connection between the divine life force energy “Rei” and “Ki” personal energy. Reiki, as practised in the Western world, is a system of healing for the self and of others, using this “universal life energy”. Living with Reiki is a blissful life.
