About this event

Fancy trying out some seated Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. The word “Reiki” comes from two Japanese words:

Rei meaning “universal”

Ki meaning “life force energy”

How It Works

A trained practitioner channels this energy by:

Gently placing their hands on or just above the body or within a persons auric field (their aura comprised of the energy the emit around their body. )

Using specific hand positions to guide energy flow

Creating a calming, meditative environment

The recipient remains fully clothed and either lies down or sits comfortably. Some sessions also incorporate

People turn to Reiki for:

Deep relaxation

Relief from stress, anxiety, or emotional tension

Support during illness or recovery

Enhancing spiritual growth or personal clarity

While Reiki is not a substitute for medical treatment, it’s often used alongside conventional therapies to promote balance and comfort

Gill is an experienced Reiki Master. In her practice Gill performs a mixture of hands on and 'hands off' reiki. If deciding to use her hands to treat specific energy points in the body called 'chakra's she will place her hands directly onto specific points in the body to apply healing. Even without administering her Reiki healing by touch!

All sessions will be seated and there will be some gentle music in the background. This is a quiet time and allows for relaxation and mindfulness. Some people may feel a gentle heat but others may not be aware of any temperature change. For more information about what reiki is and the benefits of Reiki to physical and emotional wellbeing, please go to this article. What is Reiki

Usually, a private Reiki treatment for 30 minutes with a Reiki practitioner might cost you around £35, but for you, thanks to Gill's kindness and generosity, a mere donation of whatever you can afford to donate towards our running costs will suffice.
