Join us for Craft Forward's Knit Club, part of the Reimagining Emma Cons Gardens event series!
This relaxed and welcoming workshop is open to both beginners and experienced knitters and crocheters. Whether you're new to the craft or an experienced maker, this is a great opportunity to come together, learn, and connect with fellow creators in a friendly, supportive environment.
The squares produced will go towards the London rendition of Craft Forward’s flagship initiative Blankets for the World - Blankets for London. This seasonal project assembles blankets to donate to unhoused individuals in London through our partner charities, helping provide warmth and comfort where it’s needed most.
Details:What to Bring: All materials are provided! If you’re an experienced knitter, feel free to bring your own needles. Beginners, no problem - Craft Forward have you covered! Crocheters are welcome too.
How You Can Participate in Blankets for the World:
- Please check out your closest Craft Forward collection hub by clicking HERE.
- Craft Forward are collecting already assembled blankets. The standard size is 100x140cm, or 35 squares. This year, the focus is on collecting assembled blankets to support volunteers and get more blankets to people experiencing houselessness.
- If you’d like to contribute but aren’t able to assemble a full blanket, you can post 20x20cm squares in any yarn thickness or stitch pattern (please weave in ends).
