Event description
Are you a Black or Minoritised social entrepreneur or aspiring to apply for Social investment? This webinar is for you!

About this event

Navigating the topic of finance and what funding is suitable for your social enterprise can be difficult, especially with some of the myths surrounding key opportunities such as social investment.

BSWN is delighted to be working in partnership with Good Finance to bring you this webinar to help demystify social investment for you!

What is Social Investment?

Social investment is the use of repayable finance to help an organisation achieve a social purpose. Charities and social enterprise can use repayable finance to help them increase their impact on society, for example by growing their business, providing working capital for contract delivery, or buying assets.

Social investment is not suitable for everyone, and it should be considered alongside other options. It’s important to look at the range of finance options available to your charity or social enterprise before deciding. Social investment is not a grant or a donation.

How do I find out more?

Join us on 5th October to find out more about Social Investment and to hear from the Good Finance team who can help you understand your options.

BSWN is a Black-led racial justice infrastructure organisation. Our over-arching strategic intent is to build dynamic, independent, and strong Black communities, businesses and organisations that are empowered to flourish while challenging systemic barriers and forging a true path for themselves. We believe that only through this will we significantly address racial inequality.

Our work falls into three broad areas - Cross-sector Enterprise and Innovation; Cultural Inclusion; Research and Knowledge – with Scrutiny and Accountability and Representation and Power as over-arching themes that cut through all our work.
