Event description
Exploring new opportunities for worship & discipleship; focusing on how the church can encourage younger people & families to grow in faith.

About this Event

Our church is in a season of change and re-envisioning. During Covid-19 restrictions, many things stopped or had to be done in different ways. This has provided an unexpected opportunity to reflect on what we’ve been doing and explore new opportunities and approaches for the future.

This webinar will provide an opportunity to reimagine our worship, discipleship and church life in new ways, within the context of wider changes that are occurring across our denomination. In this new season of church life, we will explore creative and innovative ways to develop our vision and nurturing of faith and worship, with a special focus on how this can include children, young people and families.

'This is a fulcrum moment for the church - we can either pivot back to what we were once before and continue a cycle of decline, or we can take what we have learnt during lockdown and return to our ancient ways of being together, all ages with and for one another.' D Philip 2020

The Moderator, Rev Martin Fair, will share on how the Gospel remains the same but society and the role and ministry of the church is changing dramatically. How can we embrace change and together move into God’s vision for the future?

The main speaker will be Dr Sarah Holmes from Liverpool Hope University, sharing the findings from her research on the challenges and learning through the pandemic for ministry with children and young people.

There will be opportunity to hear vision and innovation ideas on different areas of children, youth and family ministry and time in reflection groups to start to Reimagining the Future for your context and church.

Join us as we explore how to ‘recalibrate the church for the twenty-first century and post-Covid world, and find innovative ways to express the never-changing gospel within a changed culture and world.’ Scott Comode
