Introduction

Reindeer At The Park is an exclusive opportunity for the community of Bo’Ness to be able to get up close and personal with Santas reindeer before they travel around the world, delivering Christmas presents.This year you will be able to meet the Reindeer at Newtown Park, BoNess on 22nd December 2023 from 2:00pm through until 8:00pm.

Time Slots

To reduce the queue time experienced last year you will be able to buy tickets for a specific 30 minute time slot to suit your needs. We have capped the number of tickets that are available under each half hour slot.We are mindful that some people don’t like lights / noise and therefore we have made the initial sessions beginning at 2:00pm and 2.30 pm“Quiet” sessions with no flashing lights or music.

By making the start time earlier than in previous years we hope that this will give younger children the chance to attend before the crowds arrive later in the day.Tickets to the event cost £10 and each ticket will give admission for up to 4 people. If you have a larger group simply buy an additional ticket for each additional group of 4.

The ticketing agency Eventbrite charge you an additional small transaction fee per ticket and for this reason we decided that it was simplest and most economical to make it group admission rather than incurring additional costs per ticket.If you have any attendees with special needs please notify us in advance by emailing info@reindeeratthepark.com

In keeping with previous years, 100% of the ticket price will go to charity- Newtown Park Association who look after the stadium on behalf of the community.

At this stage access is limited to this private Facebook Group and until it goes public you will need the password Reindeer23

Your ticket will delivered to you by email and to gain access for your group at the event you just need to show the staff at the Stadium turnstile the QR code on either your phone or the printed ticket.

In keeping with previous years we have a no refunds policy for any tickets sold.

Arrival

We would recommend that you arrive at Newtown Park no more than 10 minutes before your slot time. You will have to queue outside until your entrance time so we would recommend having suitable attire.While you are waiting to meet the Reindeer keep an eye out for Santa as he will be patrolling the stadium throughout the day/ evening.

Local Business/ Group Support

Throughout the day to keep you warm there will be hot snacks and drinks available from the Lorna and the Bloomin Bo’Ness team. They did a super job last year and it was really pleasing to see the funds raised at their stall last year being invested into the floral displays within the town. Please bring cash to buy their goodies.Between 18:00 and 20:00 we hope to be joined by the ladies from Bo’Ness Belles and also the Bo’Ness Carriden Band who will both serenade us with carols.We are also really grateful to Steedsy who are helping us with the power and lighting again this year.

This year we are running 3 competitions for ticket holders.

Name The Reindeer

While you are waiting to see the reindeer why not get your children to participate in our Name The Reindeer competition. The best entry drawn after the event will win a book token worth £50

New Year Resolutions

I’m also pleased to announce that this year two local businesses are joining us in running a New Year Resolution competition. More details on how 6 lucky winners can celebrate New Year with magnums of champagne from Champany’s cellars will follow closer to the event.

The Best Photograph(s)

We will be running a competition for the best photograph again this year. Take as many pictures as you can on the day. Once you’ve selected your best pictures post them on our public facebook group at:-https://www.facebook.com/groups/678507484382419The 3 best pictures based on numbers of likes by 5.00pm on 24/12/2023 will win cash prizes of £100 for first place and 2 runners up will each win £50.

And Finally

This is the 6th year that we have staged this event. It started off in our front garden when we put up a projector screen in our front window and noticed that families were stopping to see Santa in our front room. Every year the number of visitors increased. There is no way we could have continued to host this event from our garden and we are extremely grateful to Newtown Park Association for letting us stage the event in the stadium for the community.We really hope you and your families enjoy Reindeer At The Park 23.
