About this event

Arts • Fine Art

This year inaugural art exhibition OKTOBERSHOW 2025, conceived and curated by artist curator Tomislav Török Terek, will open with live performance by Réka Csiszér VÍZ, artist from Hungary, supported by Sean Roche and Ben Lancaster, melange soundscapes created on modular synths and sax.
Born in East Germany and raised in Vienna, Csiszér has lived and worked in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, and has toured throughout Europe, Japan, and South America. A prolific artist, active in numerous multidisciplinary projects and collaborations, Csiszér's immersive body of work consists of conceptual and audiovisual works infused with science fiction, horror, and avant-garde experimentation. She studied cello at the Vienna Conservatory and earned a master's degree in jazz voice and performance art from the Zurich University of the Arts. Over the years, Csiszér has improvised live soundtracks to silent films in various ensembles, and has toured extensively in South America and Europe with the Institute for Incoherent Cinematography.

Since 2016, Csiszér has been commissioned as a performer, musician and composer for several theatre and film productions, including performances at the Volksbühne Berlin, Schauspielhaus Zürich and Schauspielhaus Stuttgart. She is also developing an experimental solo project, VIZ, an exploration of fragmented identity, processed acoustic liminal sounds, analogue synthesis, Transylvanian folklore, diaristic arias and noise.
