About this event

For children and young people with SEND, feeling safe is a prerequisite for learning. Yet traditional behaviour policies and standard approaches to support often fall short, especially for those with a history of trauma, anxiety or unmet communication needs.

Relational planning is a powerful framework that allows professionals to create safety through connection. It's not about rewards or sanctions. It's about understanding the individual child, responding to their needs, and building trust over time. This live webinar, presented by SEND Consultant Grace Ingleton, is designed for SEND professionals who want to move beyond surface-level strategies and embed truly relational practice across school life.

In this training, you will learn:

  • What relational planning is and why it matters for children with SEND
  • The neuroscience of safety, stress and behaviour in vulnerable learners
  • How to identify relational needs and embed support through planning
  • Practical ways to involve families and colleagues in a shared relational approach
  • How to balance relational practice with the demands of the wider school system
  • Case studies and examples of relational planning in action

You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of how to create conditions where vulnerable children don’t just comply, they genuinely feel safe, seen and supported.

Tickets are priced to take into account school budgets.
