About this event
Save the Children and the Relationships Project have been listening to young people about their experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic.
We’re inviting you to a special briefing event to share what we have heard, and be able to reflect together on what children and young people need from adult society to be able to thrive.
Covid isn’t finished.
Some are still catching the virus, others shielding. Of course, much smaller numbers than last year but still, for some children and their families, not over.
Many more are experiencing the long term effects of the pandemic – battered relationships, disrupted schooling, delayed exams, missed opportunities to celebrate milestones and form new friendships.
Whilst schools and children’s and youth services are working hard to help with recovery, many are overstretched and under resourced.
What needs are unmet now?
Where is the deep tissue damage that, without significant support, will endure into adulthood?
What can we learn from the Covid experience that will enable us to do better in the future?
