Relationships, Transition & Coping with Change – Nursery, Reception , Y1 and Y2

About this event

This event is aimed at Nursery practitioners, EYFS Leads and class teachers. It is created and delivered by Dr Katheryn Hollins, Consultant Parent, Child and Family Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist at Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Jenny Peters, Director of the charity Connected Lives Carol Robins and Daphne Sohl from Home-Start, Elmbridge.

SAfE has commissioned this webinar and reflective workshop series for Surrey nurseries and schools in response to our schools’ concerns about the impact of missing so much in Reception/ Year 1 over the past year, as well as for those who will join a new setting in September. This programme will use Circle of Security, an internationally recognised parenting technique that draws on attachment theory and outlines practical ways to implement the theory in your settings.

The webinar on 29 April at 10am is an hour-long information session. This will be followed by two network sessions, one in the second half of the Summer Term, and the final one in the first half of Autumn (dates tbc). These network sessions allow practitioners to ask questions share their experiences of implementing the techniques in their settings and reflect on practice.

Cost: Subcribers : £80 / Non-Subscribers £100 per school, max 2 delegates per ticket

Programme Evaluation: The SAfE Professional Learning Programme is developed in partnership with our member schools. Engaging in the evaluation process is part of the work of this collaboration to ensure we sustain a high quality offer for Surrey schools.
