As long as the child of 14 years and above is with a guardian and is sensible then they can join in with the group. Guardians take full responsibility of their ward.

Can I park at Oxford Wood Recycling?

We have free parking along the small industrial road that leads to our wood shop, you can park safely and for free on that street.

Can I bring lunch with me?

Please do bring your own lunch (you can use our fridge and microwave if you want), we also have a kettle with tea and coffee available as well as squash.

Do I need experience whittling already?

No experience is needed to join this course, most people have no prior experience at all but if you do then you are also welcome to join.

Relax and unwind while you whittle away, you will be given all tools, instructions and guidance to be able to finish your own knife

We are offering a lovely chance for you to learn more about whittling with the guidance of Steffen who will guide you through how to use and maintain a whittling knife. He will have a hard wood blank ready for you to carve into your own individual styled butter knife.

We provide the equipment (including safely gloves) and the enthusiasm to ensure you go home with a lovely self carved and styled knife, perfect for a personalised Christmas present.
