About this event

Frequently asked questions

Who is the event for?

The event is open to adults over 21 years.

What time do I need to be there for?

We'll start at 10am so please show up at least fifteen minutes before to find your place and settle down.

What can I expect?

We''l be creating a safe and non judgemental space for personal insight and healing so respect for each other's privacy and experiences is important. Participants may work together as an entire group but it's also possible you'll work one to one with another member of the group.

Do I have to participate in all activities?

All practices are by invitation and participants engage in them according to their own discernment. If an exercise doesn't feel comfortable, you may opt out of it at any time.

What about lunch?

We’ll take a 45–60 minute lunch break during the day along with other smaller breaks. Please note that food prep isn’t possible at the venue, and eating inside isn’t permitted—so we kindly ask everyone to step out for lunch.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a blanket, sleep eye mask or scarf, water and a notebook and pen. Seating is on floor cushions or a chair if you prefer. Loose comfortable clothing is recommended

Can I bring a mobile?

To maintain a calm and focused environment during the workshop it is respectfully requested that all participants turn off electronic devices while in the building. Should you need to use an electronic device, please do so on breaks outside the building.

Are there any recommendations for preparation and aftercare?

Some participants find it useful to come with a personal intention or question. Shamanic drumming has subtle but noticeable effects on the body and mind, so it's wise to make space for considerable rest and relaxation after the event.

Do I need to take any personal limitations I might have into account?

Please note this workshop involves sitting for long periods and lying down, so use your own judgement around your comfort and capacity to do this. It's also not recommended for those with severe mental health issues. If in doubt, please contact your health care provider and the organiser.
