Struggling to sleep? Find life stressful? This 4 week restorative yoga course will calm your mind, relax your body, and help you sleep.

About this Event

These classes are done from the comfort of you own home as you might just need to hop into bed afterwards! Seriously, people are usually very chilled after these sessions!

This yoga is done supine so it's even more restful. We'll do some very gentle movement (and it really is gentle), and then rest into postures draped over lots of cushions, blankets and pillows. Which is totally divine.

Some postures we'll hold for 5 - 10 minutes, others, much less. I'll show you some simple breathing techniques to help calm your mind even more. And we'll end the session with a yoga nidra (a type of yogic sleep), a mindful body scan or a relaxation.

By the end of it, you'll feel refreshed, renewed, deeply sleepy and rested.

The beauty of this course, you can do this anywhere - including your holiday accommodation - providing you have access to wifi. All classes are done live, online using Zoom (it's really easy to use and I can help you). And if you miss a session, I'll send you a class recording so you wont miss out.

Why work with me?

I’ve been practising yoga for 20 years and I’m a fully qualified yoga teacher. I’m a former Zen Buddhist of many years. I've been researching and implementing alternative health ways of living my life for the past 25 years. I'm also a holistic practitioner and Reiki healer too (qualified in 1999).

I know what it’s like to experience really challenging times (I lost absolutely everything a few years back) - and how to find your way back again using meditation, yoga and other practises.

Over the last 18 years, I’ve worked with Manchester University, Creative Support, Red Rose Forest and Groundwork Trusts running wellbeing days. I've worked as a wellbeing coach and contemplative walk leader since 2009.

Currently, I own a business called Adventures for the Soul, which is dedicated to helping people find some inner peace and calm.

Course details

Starts on Tuesday 2 February - 8.30 - 9.30pm. Nice and late so you can head straight to bed!

You’ll need:

  • yoga mat - but a double duvet folded in half is a comfy and dreamy alternative
  • 4 pillows
  • 2 blankets (but 3 is even better!)
  • 2 cushions
  • warm socks (in case it gets a bit chilly)
  • clothes you can gently stretch in, but wear layers so you can manage your temperature
  • an open mind to explore things in a different way

Course cost

£29* for 4 x 1 hour sessions.

Includes: *all yoga and relaxation instruction. Peace, calm, soothing. If you miss a session I'll send you a recording so you can catch up when you're ready.
