How can we relax the mind and start cultivating a sense of calm and ease?

In this introductory class we look at what it means to relax the mind and how we can approach it effectively and systematically, by understanding the habits of mind that inadvertently disturb us.

We will cover some of the basic principles of relaxation meditation in the form of guided exercises, getting a sense of how it works - for example - understanding the mind-breath dynamic and how to completely relax into the present moment.

An overview of the course that is offered on the website (calmerandquieter.com) is also included – all the whats, whys and hows of relaxation - the systematic cultivation of calm and ease.

The class is taught by David who has over thirty year's experience meditating in different traditions, has spent a year on silent retreat and has a master's degree in Buddhist Studies from the University of Hong Kong.
