Come join us at Gosforth Civic Theatre for a Relaxed Screening of CatVideoFest, the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses. CatVideoFest is a joyous communal experience, only available in cinemas, raising money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters to best serve cats in the area.
This event is designed to be a relaxed and inclusive experience for disabled and neurodivergent audiences, their family, friends and supporters. It is open to anyone who is accepting of audiences with a range of access requirements. Enjoy this adorable selection of films in a welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to see you there!
During this screening:
- The lights will stay on at a low level
- The volume will be a bit lower
- You can move around and make some noise if you need to
- There will be a chill out space if you need to take a break
- The film will have English Language Descriptive Subtitles
- No ads or trailers
- A 2 minute film about how Relaxed Screenings work will be screened just before the film
Please note, due to the sensory sensitivities of some of our guests, we DO NOT recommend this screening to children under the age of 2 years.
The screening is by Daydream Cinema, an new Newcastle-based neurodivergent-led organisation supporting access to cinema for neurodivergent and disabled audiences.
