Come join us at Gosforth Civic Theatre for a Relaxed Screening of The Gruffalo. The magical tale of a mouse who creates a terrifying, imaginary monster to frighten away hungry predators. But what will the mouse do when he meets this frightful monster for real?
This event is designed to be a relaxed and inclusive experience for disabled and neurodivergent audiences, their family, friends and supporters. It is open to anyone who is accepting of audiences with a range of access requirements. Enjoy this enchanting animated film in a welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to see you there!
During this screening:
- The lights will stay on at a low level
- The volume will be a bit lower
- You can move around and make some noise if you need to
- There will be a chill out space if you need to take a break
- The film will have English Language Descriptive Subtitles
- No ads or trailers
- A 2 minute film about how Relaxed Screenings work will be screened just before the film

The screening is by Daydream Cinema, an new Newcastle-based neurodivergent-led organisation supporting access to cinema for neurodivergent and disabled audiences.
