About this Event

In times of stress, whether in your personal life, or global and national crises that affect us all, it is vital that we all do what we can to keep our emotions and stress levels under control.

Stress can lower the immune system, affect sleep, mood, focus, and all aspects of mental and physical wellbeing.

Stress can be felt in the mind and the body. Often we experience physical symptoms of stress without realising that is what is the cause. Persistent headaches, upset stomachs, poor sleep, erratic moods can be just a few symptoms of high stress.

Yoga is a fantastic way to release this stress in the body and the mind. When you release tension in the body, the mind is able to relax, and vice versa. Yoga focuses your attention on your breath, allowing you greater control over your breathing, which has a direct impact on your emotional state and physical wellbeing.

These 90 minute Yoga classes provide you with a wealth of practices to calm your mind, relax your body, and balance your emotions. You will end the class feeling relaxed, focused, grounded and calm.

The morning classes will set you up for your day ahead with a clear mind and a relaxed body, and the evening classes will help you get a great night's sleep, and wake up feeling fully refreshed the following day.

The classes will be delivered live through Zoom video conferencing. You will be able to see me, your teacher, and, provided you allow camera access, I will be able to see you.

The classes will focus a lot on working with the breath, to allow you to find the peace and calm that comes from slow, conscious breathing. We will work with postures and practices that will release tension from the body, strengthen and centre your whole being, tone your muscles and improve your flexibility. Each class will end with a 10 minute relaxation, which will help to release any remaining tension and be fully relaxed.
