How to make assessment in Early Years meaningful, manageable and minimal.
About this event
This online training course will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about and reflect on the most effective ways to assess young children.
Drawing on a wealth of research as well as decades of experience as a teacher and advisor Ruth will explore what effective assessment involves and share ideas developed when working with schools nationally and internationally.
The training will explore the rationale behind the changes to the EYFS framework and give practitioners the opportunity to begin to develop a bespoke approach to assessment that meets the needs of their children, as well as external demands.
All attendees will receive a recording of the training.
Ruth is an experienced school improvement and Early years improvement advisor who has been working with a number of Local Authorities, MATS, the NAHT, The Local Government Association and individual schools to support the implementation of the revised EYFS framework.
She worked with a number of Early Adopters of the reforms throughout the UK to develop bespoke effective assessment systems.
