About this Event
On Thursday 5th November, the 334th birthday of the Bar Convent, Sr. Patricia Harriss CJ of the Bar Convent community will discuss what caused a group of young English gentlemen to plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament on 5th November 1605. Who were they? What did they hope to gain? How was the plot discovered, and what happened to the plotters? And –what was the connection with the first sisters at the Bar Convent?
