Remembering 1066 in Yorkshire: Hoards and the Harrying of the North Yorkshire Museum

Thursday 20 October

The battles of 1066 and William the Conqueror’s Harrying of the North had enormous effects upon Yorkshire. The warfare meant that many coins were buried for safe-keeping, never to be uncovered. Join Curator of Numismatics Andrew Woods for a chance to see some of these hidden treasures and learn more about the Norman Conquest. £10 PER PERSON Booking through Eventbrite.
