Join us to discover how animals helped us in World War II, how the war affected animals at home, and how Blue Cross helped them.

About this event

Blue Cross has been helping animals for 125 years, through two World Wars, two pandemics and many an economic disaster and crises. This year during Remembrance week, we will be remembering the animals that helped us and suffered alongside us in the Second World War. Discover the jobs animals did for us to help the war effort, how Blue Cross honoured the animal heroes, and how we helped the animals suffering from the Blitz and the shortages in the same way that the people were. This is a fun, interactive, live digital event aimed at children aged between 5 and 11.

Joining the LIVE event couldn't be easier! Just book one of our session dates and times suited to you and complete your sign-up details. Then keep an eye on your emails (including that pesky junk folder) as we will send you an email that includes your link for students and teachers to click on and take part on the day. If you have any questions just let us know.

Free - At Blue Cross, our vision is that every pet will one day enjoy a healthy life in a happy home. One of the ways in which we hope to achieve this is by educating the pet owners of the future through our free talks.

Ticket with a donation - We’re relying on your generous donations now more than ever. We know that not everyone can donate right now. But we, and the animals in our care, appreciate any amount you can give. Your generous gift will help us continue caring for sick, injured and abandoned pets.

With this ticket option and by providing your details you will receive a thank you letter and certificate.
