Remodelling Business - Thursday 24th January 2019
Event Information
Description
LIGHTSTART PRESENTS...
An event for Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Scrum Masters, Product Owners... and all the 'change' focused roles in between!
Join us for an evening of food, drink and interactive analysis:
-
Informal, non-salesy networking
-
Interactive analysis session - deconstructing a business problem to find new solutions
-
Two guest speakers
-
FREE food, a welcome drink and a fully stocked bar!
Join us from 6pm for free nibbles and drinks, and network with likeminded peers and friends. Once you've had some food and you've set yourself up with a drink, we'll begin the workshop session at about 6.30pm. HOWEVER, if you find yourself totally engrossed in the best conversation ever then don't worry - you don't need to go to the workshop right at the beginning. It's a very casual affair and you can drop in and out if you need to! Here are the highlights from a previous Remodelling Business event in June 2018.
THE WORKSHOP
Take part in a fun and engaging interactive analysis led by Dan Akers, co-founder of LightStart and an experienced Business Analyst. We'll be working as a team collectively using LightStart's rapid requirements gathering process to take apart a broken or clunky business model, identify its problems, and suggest new, niche solutions... all on a whiteboard in under an hour. The Workshop will be followed by two guest speakers each giving a 10 minute interactive talk on the theme of the chosen event topic! This time the topic is "sustainabillity".
SPEAKERS
We have two brilliant speakers who will each give 15 minute talks on the selected event topic.
James Pels - Lead Consultant at Peak Consultancy
Jim McKenna - Professor of Behaviour Change and Academic Director at Champion Health
VENUE ACCESS INFORMATION
Please access Central Library via the blue basement entrance on Victoria Gardens (next to the chess board). Then take the lift up to floor 1 and find Room 700. Toilets can be found on the same floor within the Art Library. The event will be during closing hours so you will be able to exit via the same way you and the Calverley Street entrance at the end of the event.
AFTER PARTY
For those that want to continue the discussion after the event we'll also be having an afterparty at Dirty Martini just around the corner.
Our events are sales-free and super informal, so don’t worry if you can’t get down for bang on 6pm… We look forward to seeing you there!
