Aims:

• Recognising Issues that arise in taking impressions for Removable Prosthetics in practice.
• Understanding how common problems make treatments difficult.
• Being able to assess cases and identifying problems before starting treatment.

Learning Objectives

• Gaining the confidence in using simple techniques to produce reliable outcomes of each stage of impression taking
• Develop an understanding of how to avoid common issues that arise and avoiding them
• Using specific techniques for more challenging cases.
• Knowing when not to take on cases that might be too ambitious.

The day will focus on using readily available materials and using techniques that were probably taught at undergraduate level but seemingly get discarded post qualification.

None of what we will cover on the course is difficult nor does it involve significant capital expenditure
