About this Event

Spend a Saturday morning with expert trainer and up-cycling-master, Willz Darby and learn how to make, mix and apply chalk paint. You don't need any prior experience just bags of enthusiasm and a love of creating. You will leave the course with new skills and 750ml of chalk paint to use on your projects at home.

What is chalk paint?

Chalk paint is a type of paint used in up-cycling. Its chalky matte finish has an uncanny ability to transform a surface in a few coats. Chalk paint is also perfect for distressing to get that shabby chic finish you see on so many up-cycled pieces of furniture.

Save time and money!

Preparation is key to any up-cycle project, chalk paint will save hours of unnecessary sanding, as a few coats will produce the perfect shabby-chic finish. You would leave with 750 ml of chalk paint, which would cost around £20 if you were to buy it.

What will the course involve?

This session will teach you the basics of mixing chalk paint. Willz will guide you through the process of achieving the right consistency for different surfaces and finishes.

Next, the art of application and the secrets of how up-cyclers get those shabby-chic looks. Master different application techniques, including distressing and how to make your project look like you have been doing it for years.

When you have completed the course, you will have the knowledge, skills and your own pot chalk paint to start those up-cycling projects.

The price includes 750 ml of chalk paint to take home.

Start time is 10:00 and the course finishes at 13:00.
