Renewable Energy - The Changing Climate

This event brings together leading organisations and speakers within the Renewable Energy sector to discuss the changing climate and the challenges ahead for renewable energy.
The event is being hosted by Groundwork South Tyneside & Newcastle and will take place at the Eco Centre at Hebburn. The Eco Centre was designed and built by Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle (STAN) and opened in 1996. The building was a pioneering venture to demonstrate renewable technologies and sustainable design. The building has an impressive portfolio of renewable energy measures including a commercial Air Source Heat Pump system, a Wind Turbine and a full rainwater harvesting system.
Today the Eco Centre remains one of Europe's most sustainable buildings. It is Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle’s Trust Headquarters, in addition to being a professional Business Centre.

Dave Eason - Operations Manager Events & Campaigns - Groundwork STAN - Introduction and welcome
Chris Wild - Operations Manager Property Services, Groundwork STAN - The Eco Centre
Ray Noble - Owner, Solar BIPV Ltd - Ray created the market for PV as a Building Material, termed BIPV. He is experienced in the use of all forms of PV including Crystalline, Thin Film and PowerGlaz. Ray is a specialist in design and fault diagnosis of PV Systems and also acts as a Government Advisor on PV, Storage and EV’s. Ray will provide an insight into the future of Renewables including any key policy and strategy updates
Jason Oakes, Director, Oakes Energy Services Ltd - Jason is a leading installer of Renewable Heating systems within the region and installed the Commercial Air Source Heat pump system at the Eco Centre. Jason will speak about his experience within this sector and their adaptation within the changing marketplace
Mark Dunville, Director, AR Power Ltd - Mark is a registered Tesla Powerwall and Powerpack installer within the region and will provide an update on installations to date including feedback and developments within this important developing and evolving technological area.
Sharon Lashley, Director, Enviro UK Consultants Ltd - Sharon is an experienced Environmental Practitioner and Principal Consultant with experience of the Government Incentives the Renewable Heat Incentive and Roo Fit. Sharon will provide an update on the changing tariffs and challenges faced as part of the application process.
In addition to the speakers there will be opportunities for networking and information gathering from the various exhibitors on site at this event.
