Get help to fix broken household items

What is a Repair Cafe?

Come fix it, don’t ditch it.

It's a community event bringing together folk with broken stuff and folk who like to fix stuff. Think of it as neighbours helping neighbours.

Join the Repair Cafe on the first Saturday of each month.

What to bring along for repair: Clothing, darning, bicycles including electric ones, stringed instruments(professional violin restorer on hand), computers & laptops, small electricals you can carry, lamps, jewellery, mechanical things, small wooden items, toys, bits n bobs.

Local Fixers are on hand to help you to repair your item

Your Fixer will access your repair and give advice. On occassion, if repairs require a part or would take more that 30 minutes your Fixer may agree to take it home to complete the repair. This may incure a cost agreed between both of you.

No booking necessary, just turn up. Enjoy refreshments and company whilst you wait your turn.

Cost - parts only. Charitable donations always appreciated. Run by volunteers.

We need your help at the Repair Cafe

We are growing the Repair Cafe and are looking for helpers. We need help on the day, showing folk around and dealing with repair forms and someone who likes making refreshments.

If you enjoy fixing things and can spare a few hours a month, we welcome you as a Fixer? Areas of interest maybe furniture repair, upholstry, small electicals, game consols and controllers, computers, jewellery, watches/clocks, leatherwork. Please get in touch for a chat.
