About this event

Other

There is a wealth of older and traditional buildings in Northern Ireland and across the UK. The reuse and adaptation of these buildings plays an important part in meeting Net Zero targets; however, it is important that the fabric of these buildings is understood, and repair and maintenance work is appropriate to keep these buildings characterful, functional and fit for the future.

This 2-hour live online CPD session will introduce a practical approach to understanding the repair and maintenance of traditional buildings, touching on key topics such as traditional building materials and methods, legislative context, identifying defects such as damp, and specifying repair works. The talk will last approximately 1hour 45mins, with an opportunity to ask questions in a 15min Q&A.
