About this event

The latest Minimum Income Standards London (MIS) report is out, revealing the minimum income needed for a decent standard of living in the capital. It’s been two years since the last MIS report, and the updated research gives us new insight into how living costs in London compare to the rest of the UK. Crucially the research helps us evidence where wages and social security are falling short.

This year’s findings are more important than ever, coming fresh on the back of the government’s spending review, with the housing crisis worsening and news that London now has the highest poverty rate in the country.

We’re offering all our funded partners the opportunity to ask questions directly to the report’s author, Matt Padley. This event is open to anyone working to tackle poverty in London, and may be especially relevant for those focused on the housing crisis.

Join us to discuss:

  • What does the report reveal about living standards in London?
  • How is London changing—and how does it compare to the rest of the UK?
  • How can we use this data to strengthen our work?
