Description

Join Programme Officer Helen Antrobus for an insightful tour of our exhibition Represent! Voices 100 Years On, exploring 100 years since the passing of the Representation of the People Act that gave all men and some women the vote.

Discover incredible stories from 1918 to 2018, from the militant suffragettes and law-abiding suffragists, to activists groups such as Repeal the 8th, Safety4Sisters and the Proud Trust. Find out about the Manchester suffragette banner, what happened when Sisters Uncut stormed Holloway Prison, and discover which activist got arrested in the fight for representation aged 89!
