An in-person event with Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellows at the School of Modern Languages, Dr Joanna Chojnicka and Dr Angela Tiziana Tarantini. The event is run by the Transnational Cultural & Visual Studies research theme at the School of Modern Languages.

Working from different perspectives, Dr Joanna Chojnicka and Dr Angela Tiziana Tarantini will analyse narrative and translation practices within and for vulnerable groups. Dr Chojnicka will explore the parallels between gender and linguistic ideologies whilst Dr Tarantini will scrutinize the performativity of translation practices aimed at the Deaf community. The talk will be divided into two parts.
