To celebrate the launch of JPP we held a free seminar at the University of Greenwich on 4th October 2014. Around 40 people attended ‘From practice to theory’ to explore how research might help to develop the playwork profession, with keynote presentations on various research topics by academics from UK, America and Australia.
Building on this successful launch seminar, the Editorial Board and the publishers of JPP, Policy Press, are pleased to announce the second Journal of Playwork Practice Research Seminar, Research and the Birth of Playwork Practice, focusing on how research has been a key part of playwork practice since the days of the adventure playground pioneers.
Once again welcoming academic speakers from across the world, this seminar will offer you the opportunity to hear about research from a range of different disciplinary perspectives and to learn more about current research projects in adventure playgrounds.
Research and the Birth of Playwork Practice will take place at Glyndwr University, Wrexham on 7th November 2015. This will be a free event, but places are limited.
