Research awareness talk - Portsmouth
Wed 29 June 2016, 18:30 – 20:00 BST
The research awareness talk in Portsmouth is an information evening for people with MS, their carers, family and friends. The evening is attended by a range of people from those who are newly diagnosed to those who have been living with MS for some time.
Registration opens at 6pm and the talk begins at 6:30pm.
The MS Society is the UK’s leading funder of MS research, investing over £153 million (in today’s money) since 1956. This research has advanced our understanding of MS, improved diagnosis and supported the development of new treatments. We’re now at the start of a generation of MS research that holds incredible promise, and we want to see this continue.
At this talk you’ll hear about the latest developments in MS research. We will highlight topics such as stem cell therapy, exercise and fatigue management, clinical trial news, and the latest achievements in the MS research field.
