Event description
LJMU's Research Cafés are designed to bring researchers from across the University together to discuss and share their expertise.

About this Event

LJMU's Research Cafés are informal gatherings where established academics, PhD students and early career researchers can share their research and practice from across the university.

This is a special themed Research Cafe focusing on practice-led or practice-based research. It will feature 15 minute talks from three LJMU researchers, whose work spans drama, visual art, and dance. There will also be plenty of time for questions and further debate. All LJMU staff, students and alumni are welcome as well as members of the public.

Join us for fascinating talks and a free lunch!

The speakers are:

Rowena Gander, performance artists and PhD researcher in Dance. Title: "Empowered or Objectified? A practice-led and Hermeneutic Engagement with Solo Performance Practices and Stigmatised Objects"

Teri Howson-Griffiths, theatre practitioner, researcher and lecturer in Drama, Liverpool Screen School.

Bee Hughes, artist and PhD researcher in Humanities and Social Sciences. Title: "Performing Periods: Challenging Menstrual Normativity through Art Practice"
