Join us for the Research Charity Spring Ball 2026!

Dress in your finest attire and enjoy a delightful evening of mingling with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a positive impact. This in-person black tie event will take place on Friday 24th April 2026 at 18:45 at The Alverton Manor, Truro.

Get ready to dance the night away while supporting a great cause. Our Annual Research Charity Spring Ball aims to raise funds for vital research initiatives that can make a real difference in people's lives. Attendees will also get the chance to learn about the impact of research locally and find out about the projects the charity fund supports.

Come and be a part of an unforgettable evening filled with music, laughter, and goodwill. With a lively atmosphere and fantastic entertainment, this event promises to be an experience you won't want to miss.

Your ticket includes, a drinks reception, 3 course meal, gift bag, live music and entertainment from our resident auctioneer and DJ, Jamie Reed.

Upon purchasing your ticket(s), a member of the team will contact you with a link to order your menu choices.

Choices are as follows:

Starter:

Twice-cooked belly pork, Asian salad, honey and soy dressing sesame

Antipasti; olives, sea salt focaccia, cured meats, smoked salmon, pickled beets, shallots (V, VG)

Caramelised pear and goat's cheese ravioli, spinach, sage butter (V)

Main:

Confit duck leg, red cabbage, potato fondant, five spice jus

Market fresh fish, parmenter potatoes, seasonal greens, salsa verde

Shallot tartatin, watercress apple, blue cheese and walnut salad (V, VG)

Dessert:

Saffron bread and butter pudding, marmalade, Cornish clotted cream (V)

Chocolate Cheesecake, spiced mascarpone, orange

I can no longer attend, what do I do?

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds on tickets, but please get in touch via rcht.researchcharity@nhs.net if you have any questions or would like to transfer your ticket into another name.

Do I need to bring my ticket with me to the event?

No, your name will be added to the seating plan which will allow you entry

How do I submit my menu choices?

Following the purchase of your ticket(s), a member of the team will be in touch with a link to a form for you to submit your choices.

How do I notify you of dietary requirements?

There will be a space on the menu order form (sent to you following purchase of your ticket(s)) where you will be able to detail any requirements. All comments will be fed back to The Alverton Manor team.

Where will the raised funds go?

All funds raised will be added to the Research Charity fund and will be used to support research taking place in Cornwall.

What will the funds support?

Recent funds have been used to purchase new equipment to support research clinic and travel expenses to give patients the opportunity to attend appointments for novel treatments in Cornwall. It has also been used to assist researchers in developing studies and embedding findings into standard care.
