About this event

Research, and achieving real world impacts, sits at the very heart of what we do and who we are as a University.

The culture in which we pursue our research shapes the extent to which we can achieve our best, most innovative work. We can only achieve excellence individually, and as a whole, when we develop and recognise or people, and when our research is conducted with robust design, ethical practice, transparency and integrity.

This is a culture we all have vital roles to play in - academic, research, technical and professional services staff and doctoral students.

As part of a university-wide consultation on Research Culture, we are keen to hear from anyone delivering or supporting research to learn about your experiences, hopes, and expectations for research culture at Bath.

This informal walk and talk session will last roughly an hour. We will meet outside Claverton Rooms and take a c.40 minute walk around campus to discuss our hopes, ambitions, and ideas for research culture, before heading inside for a cup of tea to share the key take-homes from our discussions.

We hope the sessions will be a great way to meet new colleagues informally, share ideas and ambitions for research culture, and support wellbeing through walking.

Booking is encouraged, but not essential. The session will run in addition to the all-staff and research student consultation event on 29th February. Staff may choose to attend one or both sessions.
