Research Data Management - solutions for your needs
Date and time
Description
Research Data Management is a hot topic these days, with various funding councils making it a requirement for institutions that they fund. Following EPSRC deadline of May 2015 and ESRC’s research data policy in March 2015, it is important that we have real solutions for many of the needs that still exist out there. As part of the Jisc Research Data Spring (RDS) initiative, several projects are currently working on these solutions.
This workshop will provide you with an overview of four such projects, in the fields of digital preservation, research data administration analytics, long term data archiving and easy identification of research infrastructures in institutions. It brings speakers from all these projects, and more importantly, the research support staff together, soliciting guidance and feedback to determine future direction to deliver solutions for your needs. There will be breakout sessions for each project and a feedback/discussion session at the end to discuss challenges and opportunities in the world of RDM.
