Event description

Description

Partnership in the Early Years raises a number of questions:

  • How do we define ‘partnership’ in the Early Years?
  • Do researchers, practitioners and parents strive for partnership in the Early Years?
  • What are the opportunities for/barriers to, partnership?
  • What are the Implications for children of partnership?
  • What are the obligations in relation to collaboration or relationship building in the Early Years?

This event seeks to create a forum for discussion to explore the subject of ‘partnership’ between research and practice, parents and practice and parents and research in the Early Years. It brings together researchers, practitioners and parents to discuss how they might have each experienced partnership in the Early Years. The event features a Key Note by Professor Eva Lloyd, (CASS School of Education and Communities, University of East London). It also includes an interactive workshop facilitated by Family Links Oxford, presentations by researchers at the School of Education and parents of young children. It is hoped that the event will provide a foundation for the development of a potentially collaborative research project on the topic in the future.
