About this event

Individuals and nonprofits and community groups of all sizes can influence policy and make social change. This workshop focuses on the ability to conduct small-scale research to inform policy change that can help nonprofits take their policy and advocacy work forward.

In this workshop, we will be focusing on:

  • Formulating clear research questions relevant to policy change.
  • Introduction to basic research methods (e.g., stakeholder interviews, desk research, small surveys).
  • Analyzing and presenting research findings in an accessible way.

This workshop applies everywhere, as the principles and methods can apply across countries and sectors / causes; and can even work in principle for businesses. While we will focus on UK resources (i.e. universities), we also have experience in Pakistan and Canada and can guide you for other places.
