Discover how your research could broaden debate and better inform our democracy at Research, Impact and the UK Parliament
During this interactive three hour training session you will learn:
- How to contact MPs and Members of the House of Lords about your research
- How to work with Select Committees and submit evidence drawing on your research
- How to work with Parliament to improve your REF case studies
The session is hosted by Parliament’s Universities Team and will include presentations from the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, a clerk of a House of Commons Select Committee and Parliament’s Outreach and Engagement Service.

The event includes afternoon tea and a chance to network following the training.
There is an attendance fee of £40, including VAT. The fee includes refreshments and an afternoon tea. If this fee is a barrier to your attendance, please contact us; we may make exceptions in some circumstances.
