Research Inspiration and Research Realities: Different Interests, Approaches and Complexities in Educational Research
School of Education PGRs welcome colleagues, within or outside of SoE, to attend the conference and share their ideas and thoughts with us.
Conference themes will include but are not limited to:
Interests: Research inspirations, multidisciplinary scopes, foundational experiences
Approaches: Different methodological bases, novel methods, flexible design
Complexities: Positionality, ethical issues, access to participants
Our keynote speakers are: Emeritus Professor John Furlong from the University of Oxford and Professor Liz Atkins from the University of Derby. Except for listening to our two keynote speakers, the attendees will have a chance to participate in a workshop about article writing and publishing that will be led by Dr Yuwei Xu from the University of Nottingham, and hear from UoN School of Education alumni PGRs about their experiences during and beyond the PhD.
The conference will be held in rooms A32 & A34 (ground floor) at Dearing Building, Jubilee Campus. In the event that in-person gatherings are no longer permitted, we will move the conference to an online platform.
The event's programme will be sent to the registered attendees via email closer to the date.
Please feel free to book both dates.
Ticket bookings will end 7 days before the end of the event; please secure yours on time.
We look forward to seeing you soon at the conference!
