  • Understand what bibliometrics are and what they can tell you (and what they can’t)
  • Understand where the data comes from
  • Understand other alternative research metrics and what they can tell you about your impact outside of scholarly publishing
  • Gain an awareness of responsible metrics and the university’s commitment to The San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment, and the wider responsible metrics agenda
  • Understand what the university is doing to ensure compliance with the principles of DORA and to embed responsible research assessment in our policies and processes.
