About this event

Simply thinking about undertaking postgraduate research can be really dauting. It may feel like a challenge to understand what options are available to you, where to start when composing a research proposal, or how to find the right supervisor.

This event is aimed at those who are considering a research degree (that could be a Master’s by Research or a PhD) within the fields of social, behavioural and health sciences.

This is an informal event where you will be able to meet with Dr Dawn Leeming our School Director of Graduate Education who will discuss:

  • our portfolio of postgraduate research opportunities
  • our disciplines, key research areas and research centres
  • the application process and entry criteria
  • any other questions you may have

We are proud to be a part of an exciting, interdisciplinary community where researchers from the social, behavioural and health sciences work closely together to make a real difference to people’s lives.

We offer skilled supervision from experienced and enthusiastic researchers and a comprehensive programme of training in research methods and researcher development.

Research is focused within and beyond the broad areas of Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Politics, Social Work, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Applied Health Sciences.

Please join us and let us help you take those next steps.

This event will take place via Microsoft Teams. A Microsoft Teams link will be sent to you via email prior to the event. If you do not receive this reminder, please contact us at hhsmarketing@hud.ac.uk

We look forward to meeting you online!
