Title: The Practice of Teaching and Learning
Session Overview: Our job as educators is to (help) prepare our students for the real world AND to exchange and disseminate our educational knowledge through engaging in scholarly activities. To this end, excellence requires both a focus on the act of teaching (being resilient and innovative) and on the public dissemination of knowledge (via the peer review process). This session will be framed around the differing notions of scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching – both of which include learning.
