With keynote Speakers: Divine Charura & Kim Etherington

This conference is an opportunity for students and graduate practitioners to hear from experienced researchers in the field of counselling & psychotherapy and begin to engage in their own practitioner research, within a supportive environment. The conference offers keynotes, workshops, discussions, and posters and presentations by graduates and current students of SPTI. It will offer pragmatic case studies as an introduction to showcasing counselling & psychotherapy research.

Keynote Speaker and facilitator Divine Charura is Professor of Counselling Psychology at York St John University. He is a UKCP Registered psychotherapist, trainer, supervisor, and coach. Divine has been a keynote speaker at various conferences and is a published author.

PhD, MSc, Accredited EMDR Practitioner, BACP accredited counsellor, Supervisor and published author. In 2020 Kim was selected to receive The Lifetime Achievement Award for the International Congress for Qualitative Inquiry for ‘ lifetime contributions to the methods, theory, practice, and dissemination of qualitative inquiry’.

Established since 1987, the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI) is a not for profit educational organisation specialising in training counsellors and psychotherapists.
