Event description

Description

Following the success of our 6 week introduction to garden history courses, as well as those we teach at City Lit, we are pleased to offer the second of a series of more specialised courses for those who want to explore the subject in greater depth. It will be based at the Institute of Historical Research in Bloomsbury, which is the world’s leading centre for research into all aspects of History, and runs the country’s only MA course in Garden History.

Classes will be small [max size 16] with lively illustrated lectures, opportunities for discussion and further personal reading & research suggestions if you wish.

We are hoping that the subject will be popular enough to run it twice on the same day.

The afternoon class will be held on Tuesdays from 2.00 - 4.30 at the IHR, [although it is possible that one or two will be held at other venues]. The course fee is £260 [plus Eventbrite's booking fee].

If you would prefer a morning place follow the link to https://researchskills1.eventbrite.co.uk However, please note that if numbers are much lower than anticipated the morning class will have priority, and those on the afternoon course will be offered a place in the morning, or a refund.

We often have a waiting list for places on our courses so if you book a place but are unable to use it for any reason, then email us and we will try and resell it if we can. In that case we will be happy to refund your payment less Eventbrite's fees, otherwise we regret we cannot offer a refund. In the unlikely event of a cancellation of a lecture for any reason we will endeavour to arrange a replacement session as soon as possible.
