Research Supervisor Workshop - 12 Apr 2018

This workshop is intended for staff who are new to LJMU and/or new to supervising. It also provides an update on current policies for established supervisors.

The workshop will:

• Familiarise staff with the responsibilities of a supervisor in the context of LJMU’s Code of Practice and Research Degree Regulations
• Advise staff on support mechanisms within faculties and the university
• Discuss challenges facing supervisors through case-study examples
• Consider examples of best practice in research supervision

A buffet lunch will be provided.

It is led by Prof Julie Sheldon, and colleagues from the Graduate School.
